The smart sensor is assisting nurses with fall detections
A little while ago, we wrote about a meeting we had with NevisQ, and about possible pilot installations of their smart sensor for fall detection. This week we are happy to announce that we have made the pilot installations of the smart sensor. David Link from NevisQ has visited Valencia and together with Foston’s resources, we have installed the pilots in two different nursing homes. With an easy installation, the testing period will be between 30 and 45 days.
The fall detection system that NevisQ has developed is the first one with such high reliability and with no false alarms delivered. It is also the first time this is being used in a nursing home in Spain. This sensor is still unfamiliar but, due to its reliability, it will become a highly useful product for nursing homes.
As we finish the pilot, we expect to begin with real installations in the nursing homes that have already shown interest in the product. Since these nursing homes work with multiple hardware products, also installed by us, we will use our system integration software Calas, so nurses will receive alarms of the NevisQ sensor in the exact same way as they were doing before.
We are looking forward to see how the pilot installations are going to work out so we will keep you posted!
